The late Steve Bryant, our Founder and former Chairman who passed away in 2023, initiated the idea of Birchington having its own Man Shed back in May 2021.

Over time, the project gained momentum as more individuals joined forces to establish a community facility in Birchington.

Initially operating from a hired hall in Birchington for 6 hours a week, the Man Shed quickly outgrew the space and relocated to The Craft Village in Quex Park.

With an annual lease in place, the Man Shed can now operate daily without any restrictions or venue sharing, offering a variety of activities beyond woodworking.

As a member of the UK Man Shed Association and Kent Sheds, the Birchington Man Shed continues to evolve based on the preferences of its members, aiming to further integrate into the local community.
